Meet Mabryna

Hi, my name is Mabryna Theriault. I am currently on a work placement with the program Ready 4 launch. I will be working at Spencer House until the end of May. Here is a fun thing about me: I am bilingual! I am originally from Edmunston NB. Edmundston is located in the North-west of NB. It is a bilingual town, and I grew up with French as my first language and attended a French school. 

Edmunston is a very small city with approximately 16000 residents. Living in a small city can be delicate because everybody knows each other or knows someone in your family. I enjoy the big city because of the different ways of transportation and store accessibility. Here, there is a store that has anything I would want to buy and i appreciate that. My favourite place to shop so far is Winners - there is no Winners store in Edmunston! Also, here there are a lot of choices of sports classes you can take. In Edmundston there is a lack of variety. Another fun fact about me: I love to play soccer!

One more thing. I love a traditional Acadian pancake called the Ploye. It is like a crepe and easy to make. We often eat it at lunch time with a stew. Hopefully I can make it for the folks at Spencer House while I am here!

Bonjour, mon nom est Mabryna Theriault. Je suis présentement en placement d'emploi avec le programme "Ready 4 launch". Je vais travaller à Spencer House jusqu'à la fin du mois de mai. Voici un petit fait drôle à propo de moi; je suis bilingue! Je suis originalement d'Edmundston NB. Edmundston est localisée au nord-ouest du NB. C'est une ville completement bilingue et j'ai grandi avec le francais étant ma première langue. J'ai aussi étudier dans une école francaise durant toute mon enfance.

Edmundston est une très petite ville avec environ 16000 résidents. Vivre danß ue petite ville peut être délicat car tout le monde te connaissent ou connaient quelqu'un de ta famille. J'apprécie vivre à Halifax car ils y a plusieurs métodes de transportation et beaucoup de magasins différents. Ici il y a toujour un magasin qui posséde ce que j'ai besoin et j'aime ça. Mon magasin favorie est Winners, nous possédons pas ce magasin a Edmundston. Un autre fait drôle à propos de moi? J'adore jouer au Soccer!

Une dernière chose... J'adore manger des Ploye - une crèpe acadienne vraiment populaire. C'est vraiment facile à préparer. On mange souvant les "ployes" sur l'heure d diner avec du stew. J'espère pouvoir en cuire ici a Spencer House avec mes collègues de travail avant mon départ!
